Corpus Christi Liquefaction January 2019 Monthly Progress Report
Train 1 is projected to achieve substantial completion in the 1st half of 2019 and Train 2 in the 2nd half of 2019. Activities planned for the month of February 2019 are on track.
On February 25th, 2019 Cheniere Energy submitted a monthly progress report to the U.S. Federal Energy Regulatory Commission for the Corpus Christi Liquefaction project (CCL). The report covered activities for the CCL Stage 1 (Trains 1 and 2, Tanks A and C, OSBL, West Jetty and East Jetty Civil Works) and CCL Stage 2 (Train 3, Tank B and East Jetty Topsides) projects that occurred during the month of January 2019.
The report noted Stage 1 Engineering and Procurement are now 100.0% complete. Subcontract and direct hire construction work are 89.9% and 94.5% complete, respectively. Overall project completion for Stage 1 is 97.3%. Train 1 is projected to achieve substantial completion in the 1st half of 2019 and Train 2 in the 2nd half of 2019. Stage 2 Engineering is 89.2% complete. Procurement is 65.2% complete. Subcontract and direct hire construction work are 8.9% and 13.5% complete, respectively. Overall project completion for Stage 2 is 43.9%.
Stage 1 construction remains focused on
completing strainer shutdown work in Train 1 and completion of remaining
insulation and punchlist items. Preparations for the performance test also
commenced. The team also continued to focus on pipe testing, restoration and
pipe insulation, and preparation for first fuel gas and compressor mechanical
runs. Construction has turned 327 systems over to Startup through the end of
January.
Stage 2
construction has completed the majority of the concrete foundation work and
underground pipe installation. Construction continued to progress Train 3
sitework, concrete pedestals/paving, structural steel erection, and aboveground
piping activities. Loading of aboveground pipe in the cryogenic rack, AGRU
rack, and propane condenser rack are also well underway. Cable tray
installation commenced at the cryo and propane condenser rack. LNG Tank B
continued the installation of the outer wall liner and roof panels. Piping and
steel installation at the East Jetty also commenced in January.
